I read about this a few days ago. This can't be new, can it? Why the sudden interest? I can't imagine that no one's noticed until now that this is the way that the majority of people get rid of their medications. Wouldn't this negate the studies, the many studies, that show that tap water is just as safe, if not safer, than bottled? While this is alarming if it's true, I am going to do more research before I stop drinking tap water. {as far as the environmental damage medicated water can do, I would assert that the millions upon millions of discarded water bottles buried in our earth each day would outweigh the damage done by improperly disposed of meds.}
